Your manuscript stays yours
The desktop application follows a local-first model. Manuscripts can remain on your computer or in a synchronized folder; server services are used only where collaboration, accounts or integrations require them.
One manuscript, many outputs
Publishing-oriented exports include JATS XML, HTML5, DOCX, EPUB, PDF, IDML, XPress Tags, FrameMaker MIF, Scribus SLA and LaTeX.
Alpha software
Open Manuscript Studio is under active development. Some desktop builds are not yet code-signed or notarized, so operating systems may display a security warning.
