Integration Status
Current implementation status of Open Manuscript Studio integrations and external scholarly services.
Integration Architecture
Architectural principles, current implementation boundaries, and integration patterns for connecting Open Manuscript Studio to publishing and scholarly systems.
Studio Deployment Modes
Open Manuscript Studio uses one codebase and one family of web, desktop, and mobile clients. A server-side deployment profile determines who manages external-service credentials and whether institution-administration surfaces are enabled.
Verified Publication Venue Authority
Verify a journal or press domain in Open Manuscript Studio with DNS TXT and delegate venue administrator and editor roles without OJS or OMP.
Studio-native Editorial Workflow
Submission, peer review, author revision, editorial decision and publication for DNS-verified journals and presses that do not use OJS or OMP.
Institutional Administration
Open Manuscript Studio now separates personal scholarly identity, institution membership, institution administration, and OMI central administration into distinct authorization planes.
OMI Agents AI Provider Setup
OMI Agents can use an external AI provider for language editing, metadata assistance, summarization, and citation checking. The Studio stores provider API secrets encrypted on the Studio API server and does not return the secret to the client after it has been saved.
Integration API v1
Platform-neutral protocol for connecting OMI implementations to publishing, review, repository, and scholarly workflow systems.
OJS Plugin
The OMI OJS Integration Plugin connects Open Journal Systems (OJS) 3.5.x with Open Manuscript Studio through the OMI Integration API. OJS remains the authority for journal workflow, submission identity, review assignments and protected files; Studio does not read the OJS database or private file storage directly.
OJS Integration Profile v1
OMI Integration API v1 profile for Open Journal Systems, including submissions, files, review, revisions, and publication workflows.
OJS Manuscript File Import
Article Text selection, DOCX size limits, embedded images, and the OJS-to-Studio handoff.
OMP Plugin
The OMI OMP Integration Plugin connects Open Monograph Press (OMP) 3.5.x with Open Manuscript Studio through the OMI Integration API. OMP remains authoritative for press workflow, monograph submissions, review rounds, review assignments and private file storage; Studio communicates only through signed, application-level integration endpoints.
OMP Integration Profile v1
OMI Integration API v1 profile for Open Monograph Press, including monographs, edited volumes, chapters, review, revisions, production, and catalog workflows.
