Development status
A working reference implementation
Open Manuscript Studio 0.3.0-beta.3 is the current beta. It adds linked Word footnotes and endnotes, complete non-printing marks, persistent collaborator chat, clearer DOCX, semantic HTML5 and PDF exports, and improved JATS, IDML and OMI package workflows. It builds on invitation-based live collaboration, Studio-native editorial workflows, InDesign-compatible publication layout and reusable personal reference libraries.
Open Manuscript Studio 0.3.0-beta.2 is available in the browser and as native builds. It adds invitation-based live collaboration: manuscript access starts only after an invitee accepts in Studio, and collaborators see names and colors at live cursors. The beta also includes structured authoring, editorial workflows, publication styling and cross-platform integrations.
